Ready, set, go! The Tour of Hope is back for 2019. The registration is now open. If you want to take part in the event, please register here.

By joining the Tour of Hope, you will become a part of a group of champions from all over New Brunswick who have decided to take up a challenge to raise funds for a great cause, while raising awareness of healthy and active lifestyles.


1. Where do the funds go?
The Tour of Hope is a province-wide fundraising event that helps support the annual Tree of Hope Campaign. The Tree of Hope Campaign enables the purchase of specialized equipment and continuous training of the highly specialized teams at the Dr. Léon-Richard Oncology Centre, supports cancer research efforts, funds improvements at the Mgr. Henri-Cormier Lodge, funds the purchase of key pieces of equipment for the northern satellite units, and helps raise awareness of the importance of healthy living.

2. Can I decide where the donations will be invested?
Yes you can! Participants in the 2019 Tour of Hope will have the opportunity to determine where the funds they have raised should go, between these beneficiary sectors: The Dr. Léon-Richard Oncology Centre; The Mgr. Henri-Cormier Lodge; Regional Satellite Units; Cancer research.

3. How much money do I have to raise?
If your intention is to complete the four days of the 2019 Tour of Hope and you register to the event during early-bird registration, your total commitment will be $1,000. If you register after this date, your total commitment will be $1,500.

4. How should I proceed with my fundraising efforts?
You can ask your friends, family members or local businesses to support you. Participants will also have their own fundraising webpage that they can share on social media and by email.

5. Is my current fitness level adequate to participate in the Tour of Hope?

The Tour of Hope is not a race; it’s an endurance challenge. It’s important to be in good physical shape to take part in this event. You should be able to ride in a peloton at an average speed of 25 km/hour, and be able to ride a total daily distance of 150 to 200 km. Those taking part in the four days of the 2019 Tour of Hope will travel about 650 km. You should also know that participants always have the option to take a break. They can sit in one of the support vehicles, and hop back on their bike at the next pit stop.

6. How much does it cost to register?
The 2019 registration fee is $160.

7. What’s included with the registration fee?
Snacks, meals, accommodations, technical team, cycling vest and promo kit are included with the registration fee.

8. What’s NOT included with my registration?
You’re responsible to bring all the equipment that you need to participate (bike, cycling shoes, helmet, clothing, etc.). The Tour will, however, provide an official jersey that you will have to wear during the event. It’s important to note that the Tour will NOT provide gels. If you plan on using gels to maintain your energy levels during the event, please make sure to bring enough of them in your luggage.

9. Where will we stay during the Tour?
Schools, colleges and universities will be used for accommodations. You are required to bring your own inflatable mattress and sleeping bag. Accommodations are clean and have showers. 

10. Can I take part in the event for one or two days?
Yes. Some people want to take part in the event, but are not available for the full distance. You have the option to join the peloton for one, two or three days. For information regarding registration fees and fundraising commitments, please contact us.

11. Do you need volunteers?
We do! Maybe your friend, spouse of close one is taking part in the event and you also want to be a part of the adventure? You can as a volunteer. Our team is always looking for dedicated and energetic people who want to help out. We need volunteers for our support team, security team, meal preparation, etc. For more information, please contact us.
